For ABB I’m the digital communication lead for the ABB Global Motion Services division, managing all digital external channels and activities. For my main project I’ve rebuilt the division web presence, implemented an SEO strategy that increased traffic by 20% and trained our content managers on how to write optimized copy.
In my role as Digital manager for the Hero Group headquarters, I’ve lead all digital marketing activities that drive synergies between the markets, cost-saving and resource optimization. I was constantly working in a matrix organization setting and interacting with several functions.
Position is focused on improving the user experience and usability on the company web shop. Main tasks: Detect possibilities for improvements with a special focus on marketing and user experience; conceive solutions, write specifications; make mock-ups, drive implementation, organize resources as well as support testing. A hectic job and extremely formative, I learnt a great deal by working side by side with amazing businessmen and entrepreneurs. My position is focused on planning promotions and design systems on the web-site to retain existing customers in subscription and win back lost customers through e-mail marketing.
Wrote and published marketing oriented articles, translated articles and pages of the web-site, optimized HTML code and managed social medias. This experience helped me getting in touch for the first time in my life with a professional environment, familiarize with SEO strategies already applied on the company web-site and learn how to promote through article marketing and link building.
During my Master in I.T. I learnt the principles of coding and developed applications by myself in PHP and Java. I particularly enjoyed my classes in Computer systems and Servers where I practiced Linux Shell coding and networking. For my master thesis I approached a fairly new subject: Semantic Search Engine Optimization utilizing a web-site created by me to test Semantic SEO strategies and report the results after a relevant period.
A great experience that allowed me to grow professionally and as a person, during my bachelor I got into the mindset of Marketing: what it means for businesses and what it means for customers. I particularly enjoyed the behavioral studies of customers and the psychology behind every purchase. I went through several different subjects from business law to team management focused classes. Thanks to the structure of this Bachelor degree I acquired an interesting set of skills extremely useful into the professional world. My dissertation was focused on Viral Marketing and the capabilities of Social Media as a marketing mean.
